it's damn fun dancing with j2s when you get to zihigh to the lyrics HAHA.
fusion 1 ended up rather successful! though we still need to clean up like crazy but i think it'll turn out to be really good. YAY
although j2 hh was bad during both the runs, it will become (MUCH)^n better (where n is the largest number possible)
omg that was rather cliche though. BUT yea IT WILL BECOME ZAI TOO :D

LOVE THE CHOREOOO and when you look back at it, one of the motivation for doing well for this item is because we really dont wna disappoint her. and it's the item for demonstrating our standards as the
`MAD hiphop '10 division :D
maybe sometimes you need to take not just one, but many steps back to look at what you're doing.
why are we performing and practising so hard for dancenight?
there're so many reasons:
our
pride. there's a benchmark that the seniors have set for us. dancenight '09 was great and although we were involved as well, this year we're back again with more to give to our audience.
the
bonding. it's really enjoyable to be involved in a production with all these friends that you've made in this short but really meaningful, enriching and memorable 1.5 years who've the same passion towards dance as you do.
the
memories. although i really dread the passing of this event in a week's time when it will all turn into memories which find their place in the photos, videos and minds of all of us, we know we'll live to treasure them.
the sweat on the floor, our heavy shirts soaked with sweat and our bags of costumes that further accentuates that feeling of fatigue as you lumber up the staircases on the way home, the sights of matthew lying flat on the floor after doing anan choreo and trying to catch his breath like some fish out of the water, sian diao face after screwing up the choreo but swearing to improve and do better on the next try....the list goes on.
the
production. any performance, be it a small scale one for some random cip event or a big scale one like our dance concert, its a combined effort through which you gain recognition for all these standards that you've attained through that 1.5 years you've spent dancing (and of cause more for most of us)
our
audience. there's a reason why our tickets sell out fast each year. it's because of the support that our friends give us and the expectations of an impressive and awesome performance from the school population and even those outside. we'll make sure we wont disappoint them, make sure that the $7 that is worth it down to every cent and even more, make sure that they leave the auditorium not just impressed and full of praises, but happy and enriched with a wonderful experience :D
and it doesnt end there. make sure that they
dream of hwachong dancenight '10 when they sleep!
and last but not least, because it's
dance (:
regardless of all the administrative work, all the ticket sales, all the support from your friends and family, all the fatigue and everything negative,
the integral
joy of dancing is being able to dance itself,
to the rhythm, the melody, the music.
love these memories for dancenight that will last you not just for years to come, but probably your entire life
