If it sounds pretty familiar, it's because this is the song from the advertisement for YOG by MacDonalds i think. or maybe you remember it from childhood songs~
And its pretty meaningful in many contexts. ahaha but in my case -
8th and 9th August were two of the most meaningful days this year =D

8th Aug - NDP celebrations and Aden's birthday celebrations
The day starts off with NDP in school. And everything went as usual. Well, almost. This year's NDP totally sucked and screwed everyone's impression on NP at the very least. All in all, the biggest joke of the year was the NP commander.

maybe its some pronunciation problem on his part?

'rather monotonous tone that isnt fitting of a drill commander'
'no strength in commands'
if you've listened to the proper drill commands given by the parade commanders for the official ndps, you've probably noted that there're high and low tones, and pauses between segments of the malay commands. and this np commander for this year just give one of the longest drill commands in the parade like a toot-toot train (non-stop, though there were some pathetically short pauses in between)

but actually you can't blame him. he was chosen over others because the other possible candidate for the job was supposedly one with some sucky attitude. but that just proves that the np's s3 batch is. um. fill in any adjective with a negative connotation.

actually, im not in any position to criticize. but the fact remains that even non-UG people who haven't had much experience with drills found the parade commander lacking in many ways. sigh. what a screwed up NDP.

dahwei and glendon truly held up ispark's pride for the NE quiz luh. they totally owned the others. like we'd love to say, "HEH DAHWEI NOOB SIA~"
but most of the NDP celebrations was a failure. especially the part on the skit. totally can't be bothered to understand them with the crappy sound system which left their voices either inaudible or incomprehensible.

and there were some jokers who left a basketball unattended which bounced on the steps of LT4 where we were sittting.

*boing* *boing* and dropped into KKH where people were sitting on the floor

ahahaha then ferris had to run down to get the ball. most likely kena zhammed by teachers =D

after that we went to amk hub to get presents for aden (his birthday celebrations mah, though his birthday is actually tomorrow)

and we had lots of fun ~~looking at people~~ buying the gifts and eating. time for some PICS

because i was so bored from waiting i went opposite and took a shot of the rest =D on the bus 825 which was really damn zai cos after a few people alighted we were like the only ones left in the bus. seemed like our private coach =D
So everyone was damn high inside the bus and we started taking photos =P

SINGAPORE's REPRESENTATIVES AT CHINA OLYMPICS! 180th ++ country to enter. we waited until like 11:20 at Aden's house =.=

And so we had lots of fun. Seriously. Most of us had first hand experience with champagne and vodka. omg. weilong and yuxuan's faces were flushed red. quite scaryy.
overall the alcohol was quite bitter. and it really left your throat burning =X
but it was nice to get a taste of good liquor (supposedly)
and even nicer to learn how to play mahjong =D

EMO FACES hoping for a bus to bring us away from this desolate land with nobody around except for one kid who seemed to be from primary school and a couple. we were screwed. because we left aden's house at about 1120, we missed the last buses and kena stranded at the bus stop =.=
so in the end we took taxis to go home. and the taxi uncle was talking to us about the singapore governmental system, ndp and the olympics. interesting to know how people from other walks of life feel =)

9th Aug - National Day! and DunkIt!

met lots of new people throughout the DunkIt event from last last last saturday, last saturday, and on national day, whn the event was concluded.
hahaha most of them are a fun loving bunch of people =)

so the first person i got to mix around with was this girl from dhs called jiayi. and she's seriously a pro speaker. omg. can speak english so fast that you can't really catch what she's saying sometimes. and she totally dominated the group briefings and debrief. ahaha slackk for me =D the other time the rjc girls let me say most of the things -.-"

and there's someone from ny who's laughter SERIOUSLY owns. and that person is called yingling/mushroom (ask shawnteo for the reason)
HER LAUGHTER IS DAMN SICK. sounds very scary if you play some ominous music. yet sounds super comical in a relaxed context. omg.

it rained during the later afternoon! damn saoxing for us. but seems like the people at marina bay were still having lots of fun (or so the newspapers claim =)) but it was just a small drizzle. so kinda sad the activities were cut off halfway and we had to squeeze back to the arts house area.

and this chi bao mei shi zuo vicious tongjing took a strawberry flavoured perfume (whatever its called) and sprayed it at us. (actually we havent had dinner yet then.) and so we became fragrant and nice smelling people. ~~happy strawberry day!~~ Her violent behaviour was only curbed when some people went to subdue her. little but lethal ehhh

oh. baifeng and i took turns to carry each other from one side of the arts house to the other. dahwei said it looked damn amusing because baifeng was larger than me. i cant imagine how it looks like -.-

then when the national day anthem was playing through the large screen and amplifiers at the padang while we were laming around at one side of the arts house, we suddenly stopped, sedia-ed and begun singing the national anthem (yes we are very respectful for the national anthem de) but on the contrary got one whole bunch of people bo chap and just walked towards the padang like the national anthem's playing was not their business. kind of erm, disappointing? maybe they were tourists bah. give them the benefit of the doubt.

and then when we got to assemble everyone to move them to the padang, i was kind of shocked to find out 2 of my d10 people kissing inside the shop inside the arts house. um. no specific comments actually. so okay...wait for them till they came out and so we were the last group to leave while being rushed by the ICs. anw it also accounted for the reason why both of them were lagging and emoing throughout the entire day.

D9 and D10! I don't exactly have a better photo because most of the time jiayi took the photos. and dont ask me why some people look emo and why one of them is looking to the left =.=

when we were at the padang the mood became increasingly highhh =D (for the facils at least)
so everyone found some spot to themselves, sat down and chatted while waiting for the fireworks
walk around randomly and talk to some people
then sit down at some spot with the ny and rv people to watch the fireworks

wheeboom! okay fireworks finished.
then everyone was "wow"-ing at the smoke
so the smoke was puffy and biggy and spread when the wind blew it. but the smoke was really kind of scary. especially since it was blown our way.
looks like some prologue to the indonesian haze problem. should check the PSI after the fireworks went off ^^

and then the fun started when we were supposed to gather and pose for the group pictures. then there was some filming done by some CNA people, prize presentation, then DISMISSED.

YAY! but not for long. actually this is where the real fun starts~
we started to meng take pictures here and there lah, first with ny people den with rv people as well, and then theres a few with the dhs group tongjing took, lastly got hci group photo of us 6 with a super guailan one with me being lifted up ><

(ill post the photos when i get them. only the ones which i want to post =D AND OMG. I SMILE LIKE A STUPID IDIOT IN THE PHOTOS =.=)

AFTER THAT WE PLAYED CATCHING! i don't know why i started running and people started chasing me =.= all i remember was that the wonderful adrenaline rush from the run was thrilling. and the freedom to run anywhere on the padang can't be described in words. maybe "WHEEEE~" would suffice =D
then i no more breath and kena jumped onto by huanjun =.=

but he's really a damn zai runner. when the dhs ppl started chasing him he ran one big round on the padang and came back to our area at the corner even though there were like 5 of them chasing him. 不愧是 npcc de NCO. athletic sia. and his voice really gives the impression of a commander.

and so while going home with the dhs people and tongjing, i found out the reason why the dhs people were so high de. because they had these few imba jokers who made fun of almost everything they could pick on.

there's this dhs girl who seems to have a crush on yizhuang. if you don't know who he is, he's some proed guy who's in BSP i think. from hci de.

omg. another source of laughter. the dhs people. really crazy one.

and this tongjing ah, really needs to catch up on her sleep.
she was standing on the mrt and holding the bar when she dozed off and banged her head against the bar.
HAHAHAHA. and her face after that was super amusing =D
and i was damn afraid she couldnt be woken up before the bus stop she was supposed to alight at. nudged her like at least 3 times and then she would move a little and try to sleep again -.-"

From the 14th floor of my block! Today i managed to kill the lazy spirit in me and start to condition for OB. So it started off quite sian and relaxed but soon it was really damn tedious to climb even a storey.
Total storeys climbed : a pathetic 40 storeys (up). also climbed down luh but i wouldnt count that as part of training up cos it was more like cool down for each 10 storeys. i live on the 4th storey mah. and i dont want to go down to the first storey for unknown reasons -.- when i reached home was abit nauseous. thanks to the spiraling staircase maybe. or just due to the lack of physical exercise in such a long time.

my mum, sis and i went to jurong point today! been a very long time since i've went out with them to do shopping. and its funny to see my sis giving me random and snide looks =D

then i overheard some cute children talking kind of loudly on the bus. actually i was standing beside them. so can hear quite clearly luh. theres this really shuai boy talking about what being " man of your word" and then about another guy not being "man of your word" and punching him for unknown reasons.
and then the amusing part came.the shuai boy was saying,
"eh i pull you if i fall ah?"
*The bus jerked*
"WOAHH"
*he pulls the boy's shirt and catches his balance*
*shows a shocked and relieved face*
*laughter*
and i turned away to am chio

if you're thinking, im not a paedophile because i use words like "cute children" and "shuai boy". they're cute for their innocence and the boy is really shuai. his hair and facial features and all. potential 校草. seriously.

and then on the way back on the overhead bridge near jurong point, i saw a took a picture of this:

so that concludes the long post! its like almost 4:40 already. im gna go for one major blogsurf then finish up chem TYS MCQ and sleep~
